From the top of its hill, Living One looks out over the whole bay: to the left, the Pope Luna castle above the old town; straight ahead, the Mediterranean as far as you can see; to the right, the Sierra de Irta nature park running down into the sea. You are above the town — close enough to walk down, far enough from its noise. This landscape isn't a backdrop: it's the reason we chose to be here.

Get lost in the old town until you find a viewpoint the guidebooks missed. Climb up to the Pope Luna castle and understand why he chose this headland. Sit at any terrace by the port and order whatever came in that morning. Walk the north beach at sunset, once it empties. Or do none of it — because in Peñíscola, even doing nothing feels like a plan.
